2002 16hh true black overo. HYPP N/N, Homozygous for black, genetic typed by UC Davis (EE)

Valley Visions purchased PP Chips Treasure from Pipestone Paints located in Caroline, Alberta, Canada (check our links page to view their site). Treasure currently has points in Open Halter, Amateur Halter and lungeline. He injured his left foreleg in the summer of 2004 so was not able to complete his training and stay sound for the performance classes. We expect to have him ready again in the spring of 2005. He was the High Point Junior Halter Stallions and Geldings for the NEMQHA open show circuit for 2004. He also placed decently in the Cowtown Classic held September in Calgary, AB receiving an amateur halter point with one first. He was Reserve High Point Stallion at the Harvest of Colors held in MooseJaw, SK show in October of 2004, receiving one grand and three reserves. He is filling out nicely and he is now a true 16hh. Being homozgous for the black gene helps take some of the guess work out of breeding paints. The closest thing to a red foal he will sire is a bay.

He is nominated to the Big Sky Futurity, the Montana Stallion Offspring Futurity, the Canadian Colours Futurity, and the Harvest of Gold Futurity.  He is also in Breeders Trust for 2007.   His first foal crop produced the winner of both the Montana Stallion Offspring Futurity and the Big Sky Futurity.
